Ferry Facing Storm and Rough Seas
Description
MV Straitsman is a New Zealand Cook Strait ferry. It doesn't usually sail in seas much rougher than this. Weather at the time was a 40 knot southerly with very rough sea and 3m southerly swell, according to Metservice.
