Near Midair Collision of Plane and Paramotor (Close Call)
ID: LIS-01-0179
Format: HD
Location: Glidden Farm, UK
Description

A paramotor pilot nearly collides with a propeller driven plane approaching him at same height from about 90 degrees off. Once the pilot noticed the aircraft flying directly towards him, he quickly tries to gain altitude to avoid a fatal crash ? not knowing how the other pilot might react to the situation. Luckily all turned out good for both pilots and a collision was avoided. Footage includes two camera angles, including a helmet camera. Comment on the close call incident from the paramotor pilot: "Both aircraft are at 2000 feet give or take a few feet. The Location is Glidden Farm clearly shown on the chart, yes he (the plane) had right of way as he was on the right. I didn't see the aircraft until the last second and what I have learnt from this is to keep a better lookout and maybe not fly at 1000, 1500 or 2000 feet as this seems to be the main cruising level for GA aircraft."
