Sequence of 6K 24fps aerial rushes shot in Juan de Fiuca Provincial Park on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Juan de Fuca Provincial Park, located along the southwestern coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, was established in 1996 and encompasses over 1,500 hectares of rugged coastal rainforest and shoreline. The park is named after the Strait of Juan de Fuca, itself named for the Greek navigator Ioannis Phokas (“Juan de Fuca”), who sailed these waters in the late 16th century under the Spanish flag. Historically, the coastline was home to the Pacheedaht First Nation, whose traditional territory includes the beaches, rivers, and forests of this region. The park forms part of the larger Pacific Rim coastal ecosystem, featuring dramatic sea cliffs, temperate rainforest, and marine life such as seals, sea lions, and migrating whales. Today, it is known for the 47-kilometre Juan de Fuca Marine Trail, which connects a series of remote beaches and offers one of the most scenic and ecologically rich stretches of coastline on Canada’s west coast.
