Description
Super 8mm home movie sequence filmed in south India in 1989. Includes traditional farming, the 57-foot-tall statue of Gommateshwara in Shravanbelagola, vultures feeding, Hoysala temples of Belur and Halebidu, Hindu temple of Virupaksha with its own elephant. Intercut with village scenes including people washing clothes on ghats, cattle, traditional pottery making and carrying a palanquin.
