Sandra Coelho is 52 and from Cricklewood in London where this interview was shot. Full interview transcript "OK, so can you just state your name, your age, and where you're from? OK, I'm Sandra Coelho. I'm from London, and I'm 50 years old. Thank you. And then can you tell me a little about who you are, so what you do for a living, and then what matters to you most in life? Um, I am. Working archive and I. I, um, I think what matters to me is obviously family and the way the culture is around me. And then, um, at the moment, like what, if you have to think of a piece of art or a piece of music or a TV show or something that you consume either on a phone or a TV, what, what are you enjoying at the moment and why? OK, I'm. I obviously love watching the news, but um I am also enjoying dramas currently adolescence was a great one. Stephen Graham is an amazing actor, um. Um, I also just finished watching Years After Years, which is very on point at the moment. And then, um, we're gonna, so, um, what don't you like? What, what's your pet hates when it comes to culture? Um, what, what I'm not what I don't like, um. TikTok videos about um politics, which is fake news. um I don't like the fact that this fake news that is being shown as truth at the moment and there's notes it doesn't seem to be any um. Way to stop it. Fantastic. Um, and then, um, tell me a bit more detail about your job and what you spend your time doing. OK, so I licence content into TV programmes and feature films. Um, we represent over 30 media archives, including major broadcasters such as ITV, Al Jazeera, ABC Australia, um, yeah. And when you think about. The television industry, um, what do you see happening in the next 10 to 15 years? I can see totally that. programmes are being made, reality TV I don't think will exist in 5 years' time. I think a lot of people are tending to get into factual dramas now and historical look look backs. Um, fantastic, fantastic. So, um, we're gonna just spend a little bit of time thinking about the future. Um, so in a very broad way, when you think about the future, what, what are you worried about? what concerns do you have? And we're thinking of a future in 1015, 2050 years' time. I think my worry is the rise of the far right. Um, at the moment, especially a person of colour, I think it's very scary world to be in if you are not white middle class and. Um, how it's been normalised, some of the views that are out there. Amazing. Um, and so when you. Imagine a world, you imagine the future in 50 years' time. Can you describe to me what that looks like to you? I think if we continue on the um. The way we're going now, I think we could have World War 3, another Nazi situation coming back into the world. I think we need to see people rise up and stand up against some of the rhetoric that is out there. Fantastic. And then, um, last question is, what message or piece of advice would you want someone living 50 years from now to hear from you today, so what would be your advice to your future self? Read up on the history. Um, you know, I mean, there's a lot of people that are young and are impressionable that get their news from Facebook, from Twitter X, and from TikTok, and that's not being governed properly. So you need to make sure you research when you hear something and understand what the history is. So for example, understand what happened in World War II, understand what is happening in Ukraine and in Russia." Shot 4K 24fps
