As you've been hearing on the ITV national news the big story in the south east tonight is the theft of more than 40 million pounds in Kent. It's believed to be the biggest robbery in British History. Tonight Kent Police are appealing for eye witnesses. Though the raid on a security depot in Tonbridge happened in the early hours of the morning - police have only revealed the magnitude and the audacity of the raid in the last few hours. Now we know the armed gang, posing as police officers, pulled over the depot manager's car and took him handcuffed to the "Securitas" centre at Vale Road. His family were also taken hostage and threatened if the manager didn't co-operate. 15 staff were also tied up. The events have shocked Tonbridge residents.
