Description
On July 5, 2006, in Nogales, Mexico, the Manera family celebrates their daughter's 9th birthday, for which she receives two presents: one being a video camera, another being a letter. The letter says they are going to be smuggled across the United States border. However, two days later, the smuggler later abandons them in the desert and they try to reach the border on foot. They are attacked by a strange creature, which kills the girl's parents, draining them of their blood. Two USA border patrol agents arrive on the scene and discover the bodies, noting that they both have three puncture wounds on their necks. They discover the little girl, who is clearly terrified, hiding. As night falls, one agent investigates the surrounding area, hearing strange sounds and running back to the other agent. They suddenly see a pair of glowing eyes in the brush and open fire on the animal before fleeing. The little girl was returned to her grandmother and the deaths of her parents remain a mystery.
