The book-dealer at the centre of a transatlantic investigation into the theft of a rare Shakespeare folio has lost his civil claim to get the book back. Raymond Scott from Washington maintains he was given the first edition of Shakespeare's works by a friend. But police believe it's the same copy which was stolen from Durham University Library in December nineteen ninety eight
