A paramotor pilot crashes into the water after enjoying a beautiful flight over the coast at Old Harry Rocks, England. Suddenly, (after about 3:12 mins in the clip) the motor of his paramotor dies while the pilot is too far away from the coast already. Realising that a water landing is unavoidable, the pilot does an emergency call for help and afterwards begins releasing his harness in preparation for the water landing ?as drowning is one of the main causes of deaths in paragliding, primarily the individual being unable to release themselves from their harness. A quick release harness, floatation and Spare Air are great safety equipment to have available if you conduct operations over water. This paramotor had a floatation device fitted (purchased separately) otherwise it would have sunk. The pilot was later rescued and escaped the situation without major injuries.
