Footage we shot on our friends farm in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, India. This is a fertile farming area in the the plains just south of the Himalayan foothills in Northern India. As part of the extraction of Indigo, the naturally occurring blue dye found across the world in Indigo plants, the leaves are left in pots under weight to ferment for a couple of days. the liquid is then strained through muslin and the blue colored water and sediment is then aerated by hand using a technique of lifting handmade woven baskets to add air to the mixture. This sequence shows a close up of the muslin bundles, which the raw fermented residue is hung in to remove the liquid, dripping blue water droplets in slomo. Shot 23.98fps at 2K
