WS POV Old couple in car hitting policemen / Georgia, USA<br /><br />A VERY elderly couple driving down interstate, drives over emergency lane and hits a deputy. They hit Deputy Sendek on his side and he ended up bruised from the hip to knee and tore muscles in back. His body and gun was hit by their rear-view mirror and some loose side molding struck him in the leg ands tore his pants. A few inches closer and he is convinced it could have lost his leg. He was out of work for 2 weeks and on light desk work for 6 months for it to heal completely.to heal. GA State Patrol wrote the old man the following tickets:,Failure to maintain,Leaving the scene of an accident.,The old man says that the couple thought police were shooting at them when they heard the noise from the impact of striking the officer. The couple was released at the scene and had to pay a fine.
