WS POV Police chase / Layton, Utah, USA<br /><br />Suspect Leads officers on high speed chase through a residential neghborhood, blowing through Stop Signs and eventually ditching the car and his two passengers on a sidewalk and making a break for it.,On October 18, 2006 a Utah State Trooper noticed a vehicle traveling,North on Main Street near 1600 North in Layton City without headlights.,When he pulled in behind the vehicle he noticed some erratic driving,that indicated a possible impaired driver. The trooper attempted to,make a traffic stop on Main Street. The driver failed to stop for the,trooper and accelerated away. The vehicle turned through a parking area,and traveled south down Main Street at speeds of 60-65 mph. The driver,turned into a residential area and continued to try to elude the,trooper. Speeds through the residential area reached 25-35 mph. At,one point in the pursuit the vehicle pulled to the edge of the roadway,and it appeared the driver was preparing to flee on foot. The driver,then accelerated away. The pursuit lasted approximately four minutes,and ended when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant.,The driver fled on foot and was not located that evening. Sheriff's,deputies responded to the scene and secured the two passengers in the,vehicle. The passengers were interviewed and released without charges.,Investigators are still looking for the outstanding driver.,
