WS POV Police chasing 4x4 car / Utah, USA<br /><br />A police officer in Utah spoke out Wednesday following a deadly police shootout that was recorded on his dashboard camera.,Sheriff's Deputy John Crowley pulled an SUV over for what he thought was a routine traffic stop.,The driver, career criminal Tony Shane Francis, had other ideas.,Crowley is seen walking up to the car, but within seconds Francis slipped the car into drive and skidded off.,The SUV is seen racing along in treacherous conditions. Crowley said the snow-covered stretch of Indian Canyon would've been difficult to navigate in dry weather.,After 20 minutes the SUV spins out, nearly getting broadsided by oncoming traffic. The driver gets out with a loaded gun and runs forward firing at the deputy.,The suspect looks as though he's going to run off, but instead decides to get behind the wheel of one of the deputies' trucks and make another run for it.,It turns out to be a bad move as officers open fire on the vehicle.,The suspect loses control of the truck and slams into the side of a mountain. Police said he was dead before he crashed.,So why was this suspect so determined to run? Police say Francis was driving a stolen car. He also had a record of armed bank robberies, prison escape and assaulting police officers.,They said he had violated parole again and was on the run.
