Description

This film follows a group of young Masai (Maasai) men in Kenya as they prepare to be welcomed back into society as mature adults, having spent all the years of their adolescence away from home. The Masai (Maasai) are pastoral nomads in the East African rift valley with a social system which differentiates sharply between men and women and between different age-sets. Every Masai man must serve as a 'Moran' or 'warrior' and this film follows a group of Moran who speak openly about their warriorhood, their desire to explore and obtain knowledge and the significance of the Masai social system
