Actress Olga Kurylenko discusses her movie The Water Diviner 2014 directed by Russell Crowe who also stars alongside her. She talks about how wonderful Crowe is as a first time director, 'as an actor himself, he knows what kind of atmosphere an actor needs on set.' Kurylenko's character is Turkish, so in order to research the culture, customs and language, she travelled to Istanbul. She describes the film as a classic love story set against the backdrop of the Battle of Gallipoli. Quantum of Solace 2008 Kurylenko discusses her 'Bond Girl' role, playing a Bolivian assassin, she prepared for the role by working on her accent, working out in the gym and learning new weapons skills involving guns. The next film discussed is To The Wonder 2012 directed by Terrence Malick, originally a big fan of his work, Kurylenko describes his unique filming process, there is no script, leaving Malick to give the actors a theme of the day instead. A cosy experience alongside a group of other actors. Kurylenko admits his films are very polarising, 'you either love them or hate them, you need the time'. Within the film there is a dream like voice-over that she recorded over the space of a year. Oblivion 2013 an Action/SciFi film, Kurylenko talks about her scenes mainly being shot in real locations and not employing the use of green screens. She then talks of growing up in the Ukraine, where as a child she did not dream of becoming an actress, as a teenager she was spotted by a model agency and soon became a successful model moving to Paris. It was during her time in Paris she learnt French and started talking acting lessons, this led to initially starring in some French films. Kurylenko now talks of how she went to New York to pursue an American agent but was quickly turned down. The film Hitman 2007 became her first English speaking movie. Seven Psychopaths 2012 written and directed by Martin McDonagh follows next. Kurylenko says she admired his work after seeing In Bruges and was delighted to be working with him, even though the part was small. The November Man 2014 Kurylenko also worked with actor Piers Brosnan, on another action film - she has done a lot of them but says her favourite films are dramas. Kurylenko talks about feeling like a world citizen following her extensive travelling, 'everywhere now feels like hime'. She finishes by discussing her new project Momentum 2015 an Action/Thriller also starring James Purefoy and Morgan Freeman.
