Britain's Bermuda Triangle - a look at how methane gas present in the earth could explain two of the world's most engaging mysteries; the Bermuda Triangle and the Loch Ness Monster. The programme goes to Stellarton in Nova Scotia, Canada where over the last 150 years, methane has robbed the town of almost 300 men, in mining accidents. The programme travels to the 'Land of Fire' - Azerbaijan - where burning methane seeps naturally from the ground, creating eternal flames, and where escaping gas from the world's oldest oilfield causes frequent disasters. Programme investigates the Bermuda Triangle and speaks to geologist Alan Judd has been trying to solve this mystery. He believes the answer is methane. Geologists think this might also explain the mystery of Loch Ness which lies along the great Glen fault where gas has been geologically active for millions of years.
