Sequence of footage shot on our friends farm in Rudrapur about 4 hours north of Delhi in the fertile plains just south of the Himalayas. Footage shot 23.98Fps in 2K of various tasks being undertaken for harvesting their crop of Indigo plants. On this organic farm Indigo is grown organically using natural compost on wetlands with ample sun and rain. New indigo seeds are sewn by the beginning of March. The best time to harvest indigo is just before the flowers open, which is roughly three months later. Harvesting is all completed by a female farm worker team by hand.
