American actor Jonah Hill discusses his film career. Hill says he filmed non stop consecutive movies from the many comedies he starred in at the beginning of his career through to his Oscar nomination for Moneyball 2011 produced by Brad Pitt. Hill talks about growing and maturing throughout this time and his films reflecting this, starting out making films such as Superbad 2007 which put him on the map, Forgetting Sarah Marshall 2008 where he shot for a few days but spent a month relaxing in Hawaii. Then came Get Him To The Greek 2010 which Hill says was the least amount of fun, long days and lots of travelling. Hill had to play the straight guy in the film opposite Russell Brand's outrageous character, and explains he gained a new found respect for actors like Steve Martin on the back of the experience. The next film discussed is Cyrus 2010 Hill reflects on his fascinating character, who he describes as 'psychologically un-readable' he didn't know how it would end, ultimately it is a sweet movie but it's very unpredictable. Hill goes on to discuss how he chooses his roles, very much based on whether he feels a connection to the character. With Moneyball's huge success he promoted the film along with Brad Pitt, who he admires very much, Pitt has always championed Hill's career and is a very generous and talented artist. Hill is eager to play more dramatic roles, putting comedy to one side for a while. 21 Jump Street 2012 is a film he co-wrote, produced and starred in, 5 years in the making. Hill says he is now looking to just act for a while and take the pressure off himself. Hill talks briefly about two very funny films he starred in called the The Sitter 2011 and Funny People 2009, two clips are shown. Hill discusses growing up in L.A and attending school with kids of Hollywood royalty, his family are very down to earth and supportive, it was never his attention to become famous, he just wants to make movies and feels incredibly lucky to be in the position he is in. Hill follows this by discussing his industry heroes.
