Actor David Morrissey discusses his film The Ones Below 2015 a British thriller written and directed by David Farr. Morrissey talks about the brilliantly written script. And the film having a Roman Polanski influenced feel to it. Robin Hood 1991 was one of Morrissey’s first films, he played the character Little John. Shot on location in the freezing conditions of North Wales it starred Uma Thurman who was a rising star at the time, Morrissey remembers her being 'incredibly glamorous'. Morrissey then discusses how he chooses his next project, he doesn't look too far ahead, as it’s important to want to play a particular character or work with certain people, therefore he never takes jobs purely because of what it might lead to. Basic Instinct 2 2006 in which he starred alongside Sharon Stone, a big Hollywood Franchise, filmed in the UK although it felt like an American film, 'which was wonderful'. Following this is The Other Boleyn Girl 2008 Morrissey is very proud of it, a historical drama, a great production, brilliant costumes, and even a Royal Premier. The Hollow Crown TV mini-series 2012 - 2016 , Morrissey reflects on the brilliant cast involved and how amazing it was to sit back and watch all the performances. Welcome to the Punch 2013 a film where he got to shoot with friends Mark Strong, Daniel Mays and James McAvoy, he discusses how great it is to work with them. The next film discussed is Captain Corelli's Mandolin 2001 Morrissey talks about the film not being quite how he imagined it would be, but he had a fantastic experience making it, forging life long friendships. State of Play 2003 a TV drama of political scandals and conspiracy, Morrissey discusses how popular the TV series was, saying it really captured the public's imagination at the time. The Deal 2003 directed by Stephen Frears. Another political drama based on the rise of New Labour, in which he plays the politician Gordon Brown, Morrissey references the endless research involved and marks this TV film as being one of the first of many political doco-drama's to be made. The last project discussed is Nowhere Boy 2009 - as a self confessed Beatles geek, Morrissey didn't have to do too much research for his role in a film about John Lennon's teenage years. Morrissey talks about the film and how good the lead actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson was as Lennon, 'his accent was pitched perfectly for that era'.
